Option - Dense phase exchange cell (DPEC)
Proteins and some surface active materials will adsorb irreversibly or not onto a gas/liquid or liquid/liquid interface. It is often worth changing the dense phase (from which molecules are being adsorbed) with a new solution to quantify this irreversibility. The DPEC option can be adapted to the Tracker.

Principle
Dense phase liquid is held in a thermostatically jacketed cuvette fitted with an inlet and outlet tube. The liquid can be slowly withdrawn from this cuvette and replaced by a second liquid phase. The software controls the liquid circulation rate. The surface/interfacial tension is continuously measured during the liquid exchange.
Application
- Surfactants desorption - Competitive adsorption of surfactants.
